UPDATING CITRIX
SOFTWARE
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
To update your Citrix Software on your personal pc or
laptop, follow the instructions below:
- From an internet browser, type in remote.gardere.com
(do not use any prefixes).
- Choose either option 90% (Partial Screen) or 100% (Full
Screen) (90% is the recommended option).
- At the Novell Login window, log in as you normally would.
- You will receive a Client Manager information window that
says: “An updated version of the Citrix ICA Client is available.” Choose
the option to “Finish updating the ICA Client before continuing” and then
choose OK.
- An information window will appear and state “The server
has successfully downloaded the new ICA client. Would you like to
disconnect now and connect again to start using the new ICA client?”
Choose YES.
- An Update Completion Process window will appear and it
will state “A pending update of the Citrix ICA Client needs to complete.
Please exit all Citrix ICA Client programs before proceeding.” Choose
OK.
- An Update Completion Process window will appear and it
will state “The update of the Citrix ICA Client is complete.” Choose OK.
- At this time, you will now choose 90% of screen (Partial
Screen) and log in as you normally would.
- Once you have installed the Citrix software, to create a
quick link to your preferred method, right-click on the link and select
“Copy Shortcut,” then paste to an open space on your desktop. Use your
new desktop icon to connect for all future Citrix sessions or choose your
preferred method of connection at http://remote.gardere.com/.
IMPORTANT:
From this point forward to access Citrix, you will use an
internet browser to connect to remote.gardere.com. Please delete
all icons for the Citrix Program Neighborhood that you may have previously
used, as they will no longer be operational.
